Muntjac and Chinese Water Deer, as non-native species, have no close season and may be shot at any time.

 

Other Mammals

 

Hares may be shot at any time, except as follows:

In Scotland, on unenclosed arable land or moorland, they may not be shot between April 1 and June 30.

In Northern Ireland, they are currently protected at all times.

In England and Wales, on unenclosed arable land or moorland, they may not be shot between April 1 and December 10

 

Rabbits may be shot at any time.
