Phase 1 of Scottish lockdown easing begins Friday 29 May

Scottish Government has today signalled that phase one of the Scottish Covid-19 lockdown easing will begin tomorrow, Friday 29 May 2020.

A multitude of Scottish Government guidance is now available for businesses, families, carers and many other activities or groups from the link below.

Essentially shooting, fishing and other country sports can potentially be undertaken as long as you can work within the Government's social distancing and other guidance. Scottish Government advises that outdoor pursuits should be undertaken local to home and they indicate within 5 miles as being 'local', though they indicate this will not be rigidly enforced. Clearly individual discretion and common sense applies. Plan any journey and do all you can to avoid contact with other persons e.g. busy places outdoors.

Please go to the main guidance page (first link above) and pick out the sections relevant to you. In particular for country sports, have a thorough read of the 2nd link above. It is your responsibility to be fully informed of, and to follow, Government guidance.

We will update as and when new information comes to light.

Stay well and keep in good heart. It all seems deeply frustrating until you hear of those who have had a really bad time with the virus or lost loved ones.

It is really important that you keep on top of the news going forward e.g. contact tracing guidance for those who have virus symptoms, but don't let it 'swamp' you. Pick out what is relevant to you and your own life and work and focus on that.

Get in touch if you need. Always here for you.
