Principles of Moorland Management

The Principles of Moorland Management (PoMM) project is administrated by Scotland's Moorland Forum. SACS is an active Forum member, and sits on the PoMM Steering Group.

Principles of Moorland Management

The aim of this project is to produce a range of guidance that provides practitioners working in upland and moorland areas, and interested parties, with a quality source of information on good practice management techniques.

The number of current PoMM documents has just been updated, and you can access them here. Topics include mountain hare management and counting, heather cutting, worm control, and Scottish wildcats. With moorland management continuing to be of huge political and public interest, it has never been more important to support vital projects such as PoMM; please utilise and share this link.
