Wader and wildfowl shooting - call for voluntary restraint due to cold weather

Apart from Covid, there are currently many other work areas for SACS. As part of our conservation objectives SACS joins other shooting bodies in working with the Met Office, Nature Scotland and BASC Scotland on cold weather wildfowling matters.

Wader and wildfowl shooting - call for voluntary restraint due to cold weather

The current freezing conditions are a concern, thus with our partner bodies in Scotland, SACS recommends that, for those legally able to travel and wildfowl during the lockdown (please see earlier news article), the shooting of wildfowl and waders in Scotland should be voluntarily limited from 06 January 2021 until the freezing conditions lessen and a thaw is well underway.
