Police Scotland – Firearms Licensing Payment portal

Police Scotland has informed us that various sections of their website have been updated to include an online payments portal.  They state;

Payment for firearms licensing services can be made at https://www.gov.uk/payments/spa-firearms-licencing/firearms-and-explosives-licensing-payment.  Please use your surname and date of birth as a reference for new grant applications and a current certificate number for all other payments.  Current fees can be found at the Police Scotland website - Firearms and Explosives Licensing - Police Scotland.

In due course, our renewal reminder letters will also be updated.   

This represents a significant step forward in modernising and streamlining our processes to support certificate holders and applicants across Scotland.  This forms just a small part of our plans to bring more of our processes online in the future.

Previous forms of payment, including bank transfer and cheques, can still be used.
